October 25 2022

RESTON, Va.; October 25, 2022 – Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) has selected Core4ce to lead the agency’s Defense Health Infrastructure and Application Engineering contract. Core4ce will provide worldwide enterprise health IT expertise in a range of areas including network security, infrastructure modernization, and systems engineering.

The Core4ce team will support entities that require connectivity and integration into the Medical Community of Interest (MedCOI) network that Navy Medicine and the Defense Health Agency own and operate.

“Core4ce is committed to building long-term relationships with our customers, and this award marks a continuation of our partnership with NIWC Atlantic as we work to transform the way DoD keeps sensitive medical data and networks secure,” said Core4ce CEO Jack Wilmer. “Our team has a strong record of accomplishment defending against a broad spectrum of security threats, and we look forward to continuing to support NIWC’s mission.”

The Defense Health Infrastructure and Application Engineering award was preceded by two complementary NIWC awards in 2021. NIWC previously awarded a $171M Defense Health Enterprise Application and Desktop Virtualization Support contract to Core4ce, which includes working with the Defense Health Agency to ensure healthcare providers can access essential medical applications from any location worldwide. Additionally, NIWC selected Core4ce to lead its $129M Defense Health Information Technology Engineering contract, which focuses on building and protecting server systems for military treatment facilities.

“With the addition of a third major NIWC contract since last year, Core4ce has firmly established itself as a leader in defense health cybersecurity and engineering, providing critical support to protect networks, systems, and cloud applications across the DoD medical community,” said Wilmer.
